Dr. Laurel Sofer has been practicing medicine for several years and is board-certified in urology.

She earned her BA in Biology and Mathematics from the University of Rochester in New York. Dr. Sofer then received her medical degree from the American Program of Tel Aviv University in Israel, broadening her medical perspective with international experience.

Dr. Sofer completed her surgical and urology training at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she honed her skills in various urological procedures and treatments.

Clinically, Dr. Sofer has distinguished herself as a specialist in:

• Benign Prostatic Hyperplasia (BPH) treatments, including HOLEP and Rezum
• Minimally invasive urological procedures
• Kidney stone treatment
• Robotic surgery using the Da Vinci innovative technology 
• Female urinary incontinence management
• Erectile dysfunction treatment

Fun fact: Dr. Sofer is bilingual, fluent in both English and Hebrew!

Dr. Sofer is a proud member of the American Urological Society, demonstrating her commitment to staying at the forefront of urological advancements. She believes in building strong relationships with her patients and their families, taking the time to understand their unique needs and concerns.

Outside of her medical practice, Dr. Sofer leads a very active lifestyle and is a devoted mother to her three daughters. She enjoys exercising, coaching her daughter's cheer team, cooking, and reading.
