Understanding Peyronie’s Disease

Understanding Peyronie’s Disease

Peyronie’s disease is a condition that causes scar tissue to form in the penis. There are many possible causes of Peyronie’s disease, including injury to the penis, infection, and certain medications. In some cases, Peyronie’s disease can be inherited.

The first step in diagnosing Peyronie’s disease is ruling out other potential causes of penile curvature. One of the most common symptoms of Peyronie’s disease is noticeable penile curvature.

In some cases, it is plaque that causes the penis to bend and the curve appears in a place other than the usual location of the plaque. The plaque forms because of a buildup of scar tissue within the penile shaft that causes it to grow over time, which may cause an erection to become painful or difficult to achieve.

Other symptoms include pain when urinating or having sex, a lump on or near the penis, and bruising on the shaft or head of the penis.

Finally, after ruling out other causes of curvature, such as injury or medication, your doctor may perform a physical exam and order blood tests to check for anemia or other problems.

Although there are many possible causes of Peyronie’s disease, they can be grouped into two main categories, congenital and acquired. Congenital Peyronie’s disease occurs when an individual is born with a malformed or damaged penile shaft that lacks collagen fibers in its outer layer. Acquired Peyronie’s disease occurs when the collagen fibers in the penile shaft become damaged for some other reason, such as surgery or injury.

Why You Should Only See Urologists with Good Testimonials

Why You Should Only See Urologists with Good Testimonials

If you can’t find a good urologist, ask around for recommendations. Even if you don’t have insurance, there are options that can help cover the cost of treatment.

There are many factors to consider when choosing a doctor: their experience, the quality of care they provide, and the cost of the treatments they offer.

Urologists tend to treat rather sensitive issues which means you should be able to trust your urologist and feel comfortable sharing your medical history with them. You should also be able to trust their recommendations and know that they only recommend treatments that are right for you.

The first thing to look at when looking for a urologist is how popular the doctor is. If there are plenty of people who have been able to get treatment from a particular urology clinic, there must be a reason they’re all going to the same place.

The second thing to look at is how many people have rated the doctor. This will give you an idea of how many people have had positive experiences with him or her, which can be very helpful.

The third thing to look at is how many people have left a negative review about him or her. In some cases, this can give you insight into why someone might not be a good fit for your situation in the long run.

What Is a Neurogenic Bladder?

What Is a Neurogenic Bladder?

A neurogenic bladder is a medical condition in which nerve signals are not being properly transmitted to the bladder. This can happen for many reasons, such as damaged nerves or spinal cord injury. Neurogenic bladders can be painful and difficult to manage, and require the use of medication.

One common causes of a neurogenic bladder are spinal cord injuries. Spinal cord injuries affect the way the brain communicates with the body, so patients may experience urinary problems like incontinence or a weak bladder wall. However, SCI does not always cause neurogenic bladder; some people may have neurogenic bladders for no known reason.

In addition to spinal cord injuries, there are several causes of neurogenic bladder. Another common cause is damage to the nerves that connect your brain to your bladder. Injuries and infections can also damage the nerves that control urination, causing a neurogenic bladder. Some diabetes, heavy metal poisoning, and certain medications can cause neurogenic bladder as well.

Once a patient has been diagnosed with having a neurogenic bladder, it’s essential to seek treatment as soon as possible. This condition is particularly hazardous when combined with a urinary tract infection as the infected urine will be redirected back into the kidneys, causing further damage.
